Five of the most important and nationally recognised museums in Bonn are located on the Museum Mile: The Bundeskunsthalle, the Deutsches Museum Bonn, the Haus der Geschichte, the Kunstmuseum and the Zoological Research Museum Alexander Koenig. These five are always worth a detour!

Beethoven House

The birthplace of the world-famous composer Ludwig van Beethoven is a memorial and museum in one. Incidentally, it is also one of the most visited music museums in the whole of Germany.

August Macke House

The world-famous painter and expressionist August Macke lived and worked in Bonn for several years. His home and studio can now be visited as a biographical museum. An absolute MUST for art lovers!

Women's Museum

Girl Power is the name of the game at the Bonn Women's Museum. In the spirit of equal opportunities, only works by women are promoted and exhibited here. The exhibitions are made particularly interesting by the collaboration between female artists and scientists.
